Our Story
From a one-man operation in Palm Beach to a globally connected brokerage — the story of Yacht Access is the story of doing right by people, one deal at a time.
The Heritage
It started in 1989, in Palm Beach. Drew D'Onofrio launched DDYS — D'Onofrio Yacht Sales — with a simple idea: treat every client the way you'd want to be treated. No pressure. No games. Just honest advice from someone who genuinely loved boats and the people who owned them.
Through the '90s, DDYS built a reputation that traveled by word of mouth. Clients came back for their second boat, then their third. They sent their friends. The business grew not because of marketing budgets, but because people trusted Drew to tell them the truth — even when the truth meant walking away from a deal.
By 2001, the business had outgrown its original name. DDYS became Yacht Access — a name that reflected the expanded reach and the growing team, while keeping the same personal philosophy that built the foundation. The Palm Beach roots stayed. The commitment to honest, hands-on service stayed. What changed was the scale.
Today, Yacht Access operates from Fort Lauderdale's Hilton Marina with connections that span the globe — from the Turkish Riviera to the Bahamas. We're an IYBA member with access to over 7,500 listings worldwide. But the philosophy hasn't changed in 35+ years: help first, impress second.
