Broker Overview

This 2023 Heysea Asteria 142 represents a compelling opportunity in the superyacht market, offering a relatively new build with significant power and a thoughtful layout. Designed by VYD Studio, this vessel is built with a fiberglass hull, indicating a balance of strength and manageability. The twin MTU 12V 4000 HP engines, totaling 6920 HP, deliver a reported 20+ knot speed, which is a strong performance metric for a yacht of this size, offering serious cruising capabilities. The shallow draft, under 7 feet, expands cruising grounds considerably. With five cabins and nine heads, it provides ample accommodation for owners and guests, ensuring privacy and comfort. A notable feature is the integrated SeaKeeper, which will significantly enhance onboard comfort by mitigating roll. The 'Cabana Stern' and expansive foredeck with Jacuzzi highlight a focus on outdoor living and entertainment, making it well-suited for extended stays and hosting. This Asteria 142 is positioned as a modern, high-performance superyacht designed for enjoyment and practicality.

Expert Review

The Heysea Asteria 142, designed by VYD Studio, showcases a modern approach to superyacht construction, prioritizing both performance and guest experience. The fiberglass hull offers a proven construction method, typically providing good durability and ease of maintenance. The twin MTU 12V 4000 HP engines are a robust power package, known for reliability and delivering the stated 20+ knot speeds. This vessel's shallow draft is a significant advantage, allowing access to anchorages and marinas that are off-limits to many yachts of this size. The inclusion of a SeaKeeper is a valuable asset for comfort at anchor and underway. When surveying, particular attention should be paid to the engine room for proper installation and maintenance records of the MTUs, given their power output. Inspect the condition of the thruster systems and the SeaKeeper. As a relatively new build, the focus should be on verifying systems functionality and ensuring all builder warranties are understood. The value proposition here is a high-performance, contemporary superyacht with a strong emphasis on guest amenities and comfort.
