This boat was designed and built by Reets Boatworks in Mayfield, NY. Although it may look similar to the Italian boat it is significantly different.
She is powered by twin Ilmor 6.2 V8’s along with a bow and stern thruster to make dockside maneuvering easy. The integrated swim platform makes for a nice all-around addition to the boat.
The boat is cold molded and 3 layers thick with west system epoxy between each layer. From the waterline down, it has carbon fiber in between each layer and a layer of Kevlar with fiberglass to protect the outside. That is then coated with Pettit Protect impervious bottom paint.
This boat has been used sparingly by the owner and has not been used in 2 summers.
The boat's design is a replica of the original boat frames and lines while using modern materials to improve strength, lower maintenance costs, and improve performance.
The bottom is 3 layers of ¼” Okoume plywood epoxy coated on all sides, bi-axial carbon fiber in-between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd layers. The bottom is wrapped with 6oz fiberglass and then faired using West system 410 microfibers.
The sides and the deck are composed of 3 layers. Two inner ¼” plywood skins will be coated on all surfaces and then planked with 3/8” Mahogany. The sides and deck were then stained traditional colors and varnished with 12-14 coats of Pettit flagship varnish.
All the screws and bolts used in the boat are stainless steel. All the epoxy used is the West System.
The bilge area is Coated with West system epoxy and then varnished with two coats.
«When things weren't working out with my previous Yacht Broker, a friend of mine suggested that I contact Yacht Access to sell my Sea Ray. I contacted Dan Paolillo at Yacht Access and there was absolutely no pressure. After our initial conversation Dan followed up with a list of comparable vessels recently sold and a list of similar vessels currently available with asking prices. After looking over the information we decided on an asking price and within 90 days Dan had my yacht under contract. Two weeks later it was sold. Since then we've kept in close touch and will hopefully be closing on my next vessel soon. After no success selling my 48' Sea Ray Sedan Bridge with my previous broker, calling Yacht Access was the best decision I ever made. I would encourage anyone looking to buy or sell to contact these professionals.»
