The Willard 30 Trawlers is a seaworthy coastal trawler with a true displacement hull and a ballasted keel. The flybridge version is a derivative of the old Vega 30 Nomad. Heavily built on a classic double-ended hull with a deep keel and protected prop, the Willard 30 is one of the few boats her size with genuine long range capability. Below, she offers a surprising amount of interior space for her small size. Indeed, a good many Willard 30s have seen service as a functional, if Spartan, liveaboard boats for cruising couples.

Her compact single-stateroom layout includes a fully equipped galley, a private stateroom, generous storage, and a roomy salon with lower helm station and a dinette that converts into a double berth. Wraparound salon windows provide panoramic views of the water, and wide side decks make getting around the 30/4 easy and secure. Topside, the flybridge has bench seating for two guests. With a single Yanmar diesel, the efficiency of the Willard 30 is truly phenomenal; at 6 knots she’s burning less than one gallon of fuel per hour! Cruising range exceeds 1,000 nautical miles.
