PRELIMINARY LISTING --
1997 Grand Banks 42 Classic Coral Caye Hull #1350
The Listing broker sold to the current owners 20 years ago. She has been on the Texas coast since then.
Coral Caye is a very clean and well-maintained, 1997 Grand Banks 42' Wide-Body Classic. In mid-1991, around hull number #1206, Grand Banks Yachts added a foot of length and nearly a foot of beam to their most popular line of 42 series yachts, creating what is referred to as the "Wide-Body" model. The extra space from the enlargement of the hull size is incorporated in the interior leading to a much more spacious feel.
These yachts rarely come on the market and when they do, they tend to sell quickly. This is a well-cared-for yacht that is ready to enjoy immediately.

The Grand Banks 42 is one the most successful trawlers ever produced. Her practical layout, sturdy fiberglass construction, deep water design, and long-range capability all add up to a great cruising boat.
The engine room in the 42 Classic is a stand-out feature. There is plenty of space outboard of and between both engines to easily access for maintenance and to install essential gear. Twin Caterpillar diesels offer dependable, economical power at hull speed.
The interior of the Classic is ideal for a couple with children or guests, offering two private staterooms - one V-berth guest cabin forward and the master aft - separated by the spacious main salon and galley. The interior helm area features a full-width, overhead electronics locker and a flip-up storage compartment for manuals and navigational tools.
The flybridge is easily accessible from the main deck and offers excellent 360-degree visibility when underway or maneuvering dockside.
This is a high-quality, classic yacht which has been well-maintained and is ready for the Great Loop! She is as pretty as she is sound. This is a great opportunity for you to own a traditional yacht without the traditional issues!

«Yacht Access found my first Hatteras for me over twenty-five years ago; since then they have helped me buy and sell four more boats – and become great friends. Their service during the sale is great, but their service after the sale they is exceptional – without the knowledge and guidance provided by Yacht Access I would never have had such a pleasurable ownership experience. The staff at DDYS knows everyone in the boat business and helped me find the best service and supply vendors to take care of my boats – I could not have owned five boats without them!»
